My ancestor William MacVicar left his home in Western Argyllshire and travelled to Paisley There he worked as a Weaver ‘ carrying on the traditional craft he had learned in the highlands in his childhood. William married Janet Forrester in 1803 in Paisley Abbey. Their son, Robert MacVicar married Janet Robertson in 1824 in Glasgow. Their son, John MacVicar married Jane Black in 1846 in Glasgow. Their daughter Margaret Jane MacVicar married John Williams of Anglesey in 1884. Their daughter Margaret Jane Williams married Frank George Leslie Jones in 1914. Their daughter Audrey Elizabeth Jones married Arthur Charles Covington. William Anthony Covington born 23rd August 1947.
